CR103: Authenticator App

 

Description: Will introduce a third “multi factor authentication” (MFA) option for users, replacing the existing SMS-based authentication on 10th June 2026, and the Email based authentication in early 2027.

Impact on User: Users will be able to choose additional method for authentication

Reason for the Change: Improved security

Users Affected: Web Portal

Target Completion Date: 10th June 2026

 

 

CR102: User Batch deletion rules

 

Description: Update to the rules governing the deletion of inactive users if not logged in, or, if a user has not logged in for 12 months and 90 days.

Impact on User: None, unless inactive. 

Reason for the Change: To mitigate the risk associated with an excessive number of inactive users remaining in the system and not being deleted.

CR091: Bulk transfer automation

 

Description: To introduce a new functionality that allows users to initiate and manage bulk transfers autonomously.

Impact on User: Users will be able to manage the bulk transfer process independently of CRIF / MIB

Reason for the Change: Improve process efficiency, ensure system security, and maintain control over the bulk transfer activities.

Users Affected: All Users

CR089: Self-service Insurer Index

 

Description: To introduce a “self-service” Insurer Index that gives compensator users functionality to update, add and delete the records on the insurer index for their own organisation.  This functionality will be available only to individual users authorised to make these changes through a new user profile

Impact on User: Users will be able to manage the Insurer index updates independently of CRIF / MIB

Reason for the Change: Reduced risk
