Claims Portal Data Cleansing – Attention of all Users – 16 October 2018
Following the deployment of Release 6 on 8 October 2018 a review of ‘inactive’ Portal claims was undertaken by CRIF for housekeeping purposes. Whilst the majority of old claims involve minors and therefore will not be deleted, CRIF have identified some claims which it appears should no longer be retained in the Portal. Read more

A series of enhancements is being made to the Claims Portal, which will be delivered in a single release termed as Release 6. Release 6 is due to be implemented on 8 October 2018. To prepare for this the Portal system will not be available during the weekend of 6-7 October. Read more

Changes to Claims Portal User Agreement
Claims Portal has made some changes to its User Agreement. The new Agreement is now on the system and all users must ensure that an administrator user clicks to accept the new agreement by 8 October 2018. This is the date when Release 6 will be issued, and from this date users who have not accepted the new Agreement will be unable to access the system without accepting the new Agreement. Read more

Release 6 changes - CRU validations for A2A Users
As part of Release 6, a CRU validation field has been introduced to align the web and A2A Portal interfaces. CRU validation was introduced into the web interface in June 2017 to ensure it is a valid format. Read more
Release 6 changes - Attachments
As part of release 6 the number of attachments which can be added to a claim is changing. Read more
Release 6 changes - Removal of 1 day notifications
Notifications are messages either relating to a status change of a claim, or a warning that a deadline (‘timeout’) is approaching. Currently, the system generates multiple notifications when a timeout is approaching (5 days left, only in one phase; 3 days left; 1 day left) In Release 6, the number of notifications for timeouts will be reduced. These are the 1-day notifications. By reducing the number of ‘timeout’ notifications, the number of records in the database should decrease to maintain the performance of the application. Read more

As part of Release 6 we are introducing a new mandatory field in the RTA CNF. The Claimant Representative will be required to indicate its referral source. Read more

Release 6 Portal changes - Deletion of Claims
To ensure that Users are able to comply with any valid data subject request under GDPR Articles 16 - 18 (right to rectification, right to erasure (‘right to be forgotten’), and right to restrict processing), a new function entitled 'Delete claim’ has been introduced to the Claims Portal as part of Release 6. Release 6 - Deletion of draft CNFs
Prior the implementation of Release 6 on 8 October 2018, all draft claims will be identified and deleted. This is because there are changes to the contents of the CNFs. If you have draft claims, we recommend that you progress these by close of business on Friday 5 October 2018. Read more

Release 6 Deployment begins – create your Release 5 claims now
The training site is unavailable on 19 and 20 July whilst Release 6 Deployment takes place. From 23 July, web Users accessing the training site will be able to see the changes that have been implemented as part of Release 6 (R6). On Monday 23 July Release 6 deployment will commence on the integration site. This will update the integration site to reflect R6 functionality. Read more

The role of the Administrator is to ensure that all Users in your organisation have continued Portal access. As an Administrator, to effectively manage and maintain your Portal account, it is strongly recommended that a second Administrator is created. Release 6 – GDPR update and Release 6 implementation date
Following on from our initial messaging on GDPR in February, we have a further update on GDPR and the proposed date on which Release 6 will be implemented. In line with previous Releases, the timeframe within which we are able to undertake development and maintenance work on the Portal is dictated by the cycle of activities under way at the Ministry of Justice. In anticipation of the kick off for the Whiplash Reforms, it was decided to undertake Release 6 between February and October 2018. Read more
Excessive automated messaging: – attention of A2A Users and Developers
As part of the service provided by the Portal to Stakeholders and Users, we monitor the call levels made to the Claims Portal service by A2A Users in order to maintain performance levels. It has been identified that some A2A Users are logging excessive and unnecessary numbers of automated calls to the Portal service. Read more
